Summary:
This role is responsible for leading people, processes, and equipment to meet customer demand, while creating a high-performance team to support AMQ's goal and objectives. Drives the division to meet, or exceed, safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations set by AMQ/Steelcase leadership.
Essential Function, Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met
Manages accurate inventory using industry standard tools
Measure financial metrics that support and help with strategic decision-making
Participate with senior management in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives.
Ensure quality management system, processes and procedures are implemented throughout functional groups
Lead and coach team to drive high performance culture that accommodates rapid and dynamic growth with results in operational excellence and high employee engagement
Manage special projects and achieve successful project results
Use financial acumen in understanding budgets, compensation systems, income statements and project justification
Participates on cross-functional teams to develop process improvements and help create a better business model

Demonstrate good use of judgment, planning, organizing, delegation, analysis, and follow-up
Provide a safe and healthy environment for employees
Work with international supply chain, as needed

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Requires proven managerial leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically
Must have good knowledge of the manufacturing process including engineering methods, the quality system, manufacturing technology, capacity analysis, and safety requirements
Ability to discuss a wide range of topics from business strategy to the tactical execution of that strategy
Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives
Trained in lean processes and experience with transportation, inventory management, global sourcing, and international logistics
Ability to develop and monitor performance metrics
* Ability to work in a changing environment
Strong working knowledge of people management and resource management
Requires good verbal/written communication skills to deal effectively with employees, staff departments and vendors in items that occasionally are sensitive and confidential
Excellent interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required)
5+ years of experience within Supply Chain, Logistics and Manufacturing including multinational experience (preferred)
5+ years of experience in a manager or director level role (preferred)
APICS or Supply Chain Certification (preferred)
Experience with SAP and NetSuite programs (preferred)
