Northrop Grumman Cutting Edge Optronics is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to work in our Saint Charles, MO facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments. Under the supervision of the CFO, this individual will be responsible for:
• Overseeing the activities of General Ledger, Month End Close, Financial Statement Preparation, Account Reconciliation, Journal Entries, Fixed Assets, Depreciation, Payroll, Taxes, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Ad Hoc Analysis, Process Improvement, and Internal Control
• Creating timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
• Implementing and enforcing Accounting internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Assuring compliance with GAAP
• Supervising a staff of 1 - 2 employees



Qualifications:



Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent area of study
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, procedures, and techniques
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant
• Experience with Visual Manufacturing Software Applications
• Use of MS Access or other software tools to extract and modify data from the ERP System
