The Credit Analyst is responsible for collection and maintenance of customer accounts, establishment of lines of credit, collection of overdue accounts, and resolution of customer disputes while maximizing cash flow. The Credit Analyst is also responsible for maintaining good customer relations and assuring compliance with Corporate Credit Policy.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform credit evaluations on new or existing accounts by using Dun & Bradstreet or Trade & Bank references
Assign credit limits based on Alfa Laval Credit Policy
Approve all new and incoming orders for all marketing divisions
Contact customers via telephone and email regarding past due balances and account disputes
Initiate required credits or corrections to customer accounts working with sales and customer service
Recommend to Credit Manager delinquent accounts to be referred to outside collection agencies and/or in-house legal department as required
Assist Credit Manager with monthly statistical reports as required
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Proficient analytical, credit analysis, and collection skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Commitment to outstanding customer service and support
Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fluctuating workload
Ability to work with all levels of management and marketing/sales departments
Experience using on‑line collections tools (i.e., Get Paid)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
Knowledge of accounts receivable sub-ledger transactions
