Arthrex Manufacturing is hiring for a Supervisor for second shift to work in our Pre-Packaging area. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual to lead the team in inventory tasks and scheduling of work orders ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that work order kits are prepared in advance and production schedule is met.

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Prepackaging department and ensure that personnel issue materials correctly based on Work Order requirements to maintain continuous production flow.

  • Ensure compliance to Prepackaging department work instructions to maintain correct part inventories and accurate DHR documentation.

  • Responsible for evaluating department staff and completing annual performance reviews, as well as, taking disciplinary measures as needed.

  • Documents team member performance and attendance on a daily basis.

  • Coordinate with Shipping /Receiving department regarding the transfer of inventory from one location to another ensuring accuracy of the location, accuracy of the quantity of materials received, and expediting resolution of shortages.

  • Maintain assigned inventories and daily shortage report as required.

  • Track inventory from multiple locations against the upcoming Production Schedule ensuring parts are ordered in advance from in-house stores/replenishment centers as required to fulfill production needs.

  • Inform the Prepackaging Coordinator, Production Supervisor, and Master Scheduler of any incomplete documentation or missing components associated with pending work orders. Assist in the resolution of discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of activities/metrics and prepare reports for management.

  • Communicate issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or other potential loss to the company.

  • Monitor data input of transactions for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ability to continually monitor and recommend improvements to Prepackaging processes, procedures and layout.

  • Document and drive best practices and principles in the department.

  • Perform Safety training for the direct reports in a timely manner and monitor Prepack area for potential hazards.

  • Ensure all Prepackaging personnel complete all required training requirements prior to performing Prepackaging process.

  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates including setting and monitoring performance standards.

  • Assist employees with professional development/training.

  • Support LEAN process improvements.

  • Create culture of accountability in a LEAN environment.

  • Must accurately assess/review associate performance and shift performance.

  • Support fiscal year inventory process maintains 98% inventory accuracy levels.

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is required

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business. Inventory management or related field is preferred

  • Experience in medical devices or another highly regulated industry is preferred

  • 2 years of previous manufacturing/Inventory control leadership experience required

  • Proficiency with standard MS Office desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Knowledge of Windows and ERP applications (or equivalent) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control.

  • The ability to prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work under time constraints.

  • Able to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, using spoken and written English.

  • Must have leadership skills and be able to effectively supervise and motivate team members.

  • Review and analyze production and inventory reports for opportunities/challenges regarding continuous improvement.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Label dispensers, thermal transfer printers, label counters, weigh count scales, bag sealers, office printers/scanners, Intermec barcode scanners, laminar flow hoods, personal computers, vision inspection systems and software.
