Shift Manager-MEU



As a Shift Manager at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, you'll be part of a global team making steel that goes into products that are visible all around you.Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on, collaborative environments and are willing to seize opportunities to develop themselves.


*Directs MEU - Environmental shift operations and maintenance activities including waste water treatment facilities, outfalls, waste handling & manifesting, inspections I corrective actions, recordkeeping, etc. necessary to maintain compliance with all applicable environmental regulations



*Directs MEU - Utilities shift operations & maintenance activities associated with boilers, chemical inventory management and deliveries, process & potable water treatment facilities, pump house, pump stations, electrical distribution, etc.



*Interfaces and coordinates with other departments regarding environmental & utility issues or outages Acts as primary coordinator for any plant environmental & utility emergencies and makes agency notifications as required



*Enforces all applicable plant policies, work rules, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 requirements to shift operations

Performs other tasks and assists other departments as necessary or directed by Supervision



Requirements:

*5 yrs related experience

*Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or equivalent technical experience

*Must be willing to regularly work shifts, holidays, and weekends



Preferred:

*At least 5 years of total experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment

*B.S. in Engineering or related field
