Pharmacist - Inpatient - Full Time 40 hours per week Our inpatient pharmacists staff in the center pharmacy, as well as in four of our clinical units. Our decentralized pharmacists participate in daily interdisciplinary patient care rounds, complete medication history and reconciliation in collaboration with our hospitalist team, and assure optimal drug therapy regimens.


In addition to serving our patients in Dubuque and Dyersville, our pharmacists also verify orders and field questions for an additional nine rural hospitals on evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays when these rural sites are not staffed by an in-house pharmacist.


The block schedule format (consisting of 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays) allows for advanced planning. Employees are contacted prior to being scheduled on a non-block day. - This department works closely with other in-house, patient-centered departments, providing quality care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. - Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Iowa. - Previous hospital experience in unit-dose, IV additive and clinical pharmacy programs is desirable.
