Forward Air is seeking a strong Configuration Analyst with experience in t he Oracle Transportation Management System (OTM). The Configuration Analyst will be responsible for configurations set up in OTM, production support and maintenance of all aspects of master data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform OTM configuration solutions based on business needs and document solutions as needed.
Perform deployments of documented solutions to all environments.
Responsible for uploading the daily transportation schedules with CSV files and SQL queries, notifying the discrepancies to the planning teams and resolving any issues with the uploads.
Develop and maintain SQL checks for the file uploads as needed.
Proactively monitor and resolve failures in the system.
Prioritize production tickets accordingly and ensure they are timely resolved by fixing the root cause.
Provide support to users and issue resolution through backend database changes using SQL.
Monitor OTM continuously to ensure master data is 100% accurate.
Monitor shipments for correct event updates in OTM.
Update and maintain all master data in OTM (i.e. calendar updates, vendor setup, location, user's setup) as required.
Prepare and publish daily/weekly reports as needed.
Reconcile financial report exceptions on weekly basis.
Perform order/shipment analysis daily.
Audit data records and resolve issues and discrepancies.
Conduct user acceptance testing, write training materials, Standard Operating Procedures, and train users as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and 4 years of work experience in related field or 8 years of equivalent related work experience.
Strong experience in writing complex Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL programming.
Experience in using different tools like TOAD, SQL Developer and PL/SQL Developer.
Experience in user acceptance testing.
Experience in developing test cases, training materials, Standard Operating Procedures.
Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
