This position does not have a set schedule or set amount of hours each week. PRN (as needed)

General Summary:
To assist in collecting money for food sold in the cafeteria. To prepare and display food for sale in the cafeteria. To maintain sanitation of all equipment within the cafeteria. To accurately and rapidly ring meals on the cash register, while demonstrating good customer service. Restocking all retail items as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):

Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work related experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English

Ability to add and subtract numbers

Ability to handle patron complaints with respect.

Working Conditions:

Walking, standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Stands and walks for most of shift.

Kitchen environment, work in hot and cold temperatures, work with hot and cold equipment, work with dishmachine and other large and small mechanical equipment, and other equipment in a full service industrial kitchen.

Job requires standing and walking, reaching, pushing or pulling and lifting at least 20 lbs.

Possible interactions with infectious materials and patients with infectious diseases.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to Food Service Supervisor - Patient Services Manager - Food Service Director - Vice President of Support Services.
