Coordinates and implements sales activities for all services to Basic's customers. Familiar with and able to sell all lines of company business. This is a safety sensitive position.
Major Responsibilities
Major duties:
Develops sales plans and strategies for review and approval of the management
Works territory assigned by management
Maintains professional contact with customers which includes daily face-to-face sales calls
In conjunction with management produces sales bids and conducts negotiations regarding sales activities
Communicates daily with management team
Keeps informed of competitor's activities and pricing through review of information from the field or other sources
Works directly with other sales representatives
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
Knowledge of equipment and services being sold
Proven sales record
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Valid driver's license
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Preferred:
2+ years of college
Some management experience
Physical Requirements:
Long periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Climbing and walking daily
Driving daily to various locations
Typical working conditions and hazards:
Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required
Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery
Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
Exposure to extreme weather conditions
