Job Description

Motorola Solutions runs a state of the art enterprise network that delivers global VoIP and VaaS capabilities as well as HD video collaboration in over 100 locations worldwide. The Network Operations Manager will lead a team of network engineers overseeing the day to day operations of the Enterprise SD-WAN, LAN, WAN and WLAN Global Network ensuring integrity and performance of systems and infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include integration of new acquisitions, IT projects and experimentation with emerging technology.

Required Skills and Experience


  • 3+ years of Technical Management, preferably in the fields of Network or Infrastructure


  • Prior staff management experience


  • 2+ years with WAN/MAN, such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRF, CoS, MPLS, EPL


  • 2+ years with LAN/WLAN, such as DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast


  • 2+ years with Catalyst and Nexus switches


  • 2+ years with Cisco routers such as ASR, ISR


  • 1+ year with F5 BigIP or other LTM/GTM's


  • 1+ year LAN design/architecture - data center and branch office levels


  • Advanced problem resolution knowledge of hardware/software platform problems in complex, layered, network infrastructure


  • Advanced knowledge of network systems design principles and standards


  • Advanced knowledge of packet capture and analysis


  • Experience with building, applying, and improving processes


  • Experience in developing and managing to key performance indicators and service level objectives


  • Passionate about real-time communications


  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.


  • Operational excellence with knowledge of ITIL practices


Experience Desired:


  • Cisco CCNP, CCIE and other network or applicable certifications are preferred.


  • SDN/SD-WAN


  • WAN Optimization products/practices


  • Security products/practices - ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.


  • ITIL and Enterprise Change Management


  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment (1000+ devices)
