Harmonia Holdings Group, LLC, an award-winning federal government contractor, has an exciting opportunity for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Suitland, MD.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and execute an overall database architecture strategy, standards, and practices as part of a team.
Work closely with project teams to develop data models that support business processes.
Work with the Application Development team to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.
Support all areas of the enterprise, ensuring all databases run at optimal performance.
Respond to business requests in a professional manner and with a high sense of urgency.
Participate in client/project meeting(s) for highly complex project definitions, needs assessment, and design review. Evaluate the users' needs, and requirements, and provide technical expertise in developing technical, structural, and organizational specifications. Determine the appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
Create, document, and implement standards and/or complex modeling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the databases. Codes complex programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms.
Support multiple databases.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
US Citizen able to pass a Government Background Check
Bachelors' degree from a 4-year college or an equivalent from a technical school.
5+ years of experience supporting Oracle databases on Linux/Unix environments.
Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, OEM, shell scripting,
Experience in supporting Software Development Life Cycle (Application Software Design, Development, Testing and Implementation)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Oracle RAC Administration
Backup and Recovery
OEM (Cloud Control)
Excellent Communication Skills
Must be able to work in a demanding environment
