This position is directly responsible for the management of field team operational planning and setup, including alignments, roster, business rules, and field portal content. This role will support all roster initiatives, including providing internal and 3rd party stakeholders with updated and accurate extracts, and oversight in the consumption of field data. This function will also be responsible for both strategic and operational execution in all field deployments, heavily supporting new product launches, new field teams, and customer targeting. The position will ensure operational excellence of alignment through system automation and therefore will have general CRM and Javelin administration rights, working closely with commercial IT on ensuring customer visibility. As a critical member of the Field Operations team, this position will ensure timely and accurate alignment deliverables by working closely with field management, sales reporting, incentive compensation, and commercial IT to manage and implement all alignment deliverables. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a strong focus on customer service and ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Roster & Alignment:
Update and maintain all roster and alignment deliverables, communications, and documentation for all commercial field teams.
Manage Javelin software for accurate account alignment
Partner with HR to coordinate field employee on/off boarding, & employee change management
Lead and manage shared prescriber / account process with field management
Manage roster information and ensure accurate roster data is sent to downstream vendors for consumption
Effectively administer, communicate and lead when necessary ad hoc alignment changes, impact reporting, CRM call deck, goal setting, and system dashboards
Lead/participate in field alignment mapping sessions with Sales Leadership
Support current and future product sales force expansion with alignment analysis and proposal of new geographies
Create and maintain alignment documentation such as SOPs and work instructions
Actively seek out and implement new end to end alignment tools and technology. This role is expected to maintain current industry knowledge of alignment and roster best practices
Act as a lead resource for ad hoc issues and effectively troubleshooting and resolve roster and alignment issues in a timely fashion.
Field Force Operations Administration:
Maintain business rules in Javelin related to alignment, account exclusion, and sales crediting
Maintain existing field force operations reports and occasionally create ad hoc reports to support analytic requests from commercial field team, marketing, patient services, and field operations teams
Support all Field Team customer targeting to be leveraged within commercial systems
Contribute content to Javelin Field Hub related to key operational dates and sales performance
Actively participate in Javelin enhancement requests. If required write business requirements, advise technical developers, and engage in user acceptance testing
Support IC design and sales reporting
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience supporting pharmaceutical field sales and data with 3-5 years' experience
Experience working with Field Sales teams promoting multiple products preferred
Strong planning & strategic thinking skills
Experience with other Sales Operations functions such as sales data processing, reporting, alignment management, CRM and call planning
Experience working directly with Javelin systems; specifically JAMs; JRM; & JBRM
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data including an understanding of field sales roles including sales, managed markets, account based teams, etc.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources like VEEVA/salesforce.com, MedPro, and similar systems.
Experience with Veeva CRM, SQL reporting, and alignment mapping and field force operations software such as Javelin or AlignStar preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills with intermediate to advanced excel skills
