The primary responsibilities for this role include implementing Hill's Retail Environment & Hill's Masterbrand
strategies to grow market share and brand recommendation within the total customers brick and mortar and
eCommerce ecosystem. In addition, this role must develop and execute customer specific 6P plans to
achieve Hill's commercial goals of net sales, share, and margin, while spending within gross-to-net
guidelines. BAMs at this level will focus on larger, and more complex customers based on higher net sales,
demand for increased new clients / pet parents, larger geographical footprint, stronger marketplace influence,
higher customer digital sophistication, and other customer complexities within the customers brick and mortar
and eCommerce ecosystem. Strong leadership is needed to engage customers at the highest level with
strategic plans aligned to Hill's overall strategy.
The primary responsibilities include:
● Taking an active role with cross-functional teams on all of the below key areas:
o Develops, executes and monitors the 6P plans versus goal for key Hill's customers at
varying levels of revenue and complexity
o Develops and maintains process/plan to analyze the customer's business
o Evaluates business trends, shopper insights and learning from post analysis of executed
activities, which includes high utilization of customer consumption and other available data
o Develops and executes customer meetings to influence support of Hill's Go-to-Market plans
with the customer (minimum (2) per month)
o Develops and executes annual brick and mortar and eCommerce strategic plans and
initiatives to achieve the commercial goals
o Engages customer on category growth expectations
o Customizes specific shopper programs with Hill's shopper marketing, leveraging Hill's brand
strategies to drive incremental retail sales
o Execute sales plans and resolve issues through both the customer and internal commercial
teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations
o Builds and maintains Atlas Planner to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans, including
the management of customer payments
o Develops category and brand solutions for each customer that will drive the Hill's business
o Collaborates with Hill's BDM, Vet eCommerce & Retail Marketing teams to execute the Hill's
retail environment and digital brand strategy within investment guidelines
o Drives forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus
plan-to-go with manager, BDM & Finance
Education/ Experience Requirements
● BS/BA degree or higher
● Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience in the veterinary industry, consumer packaged goods
or related industry (Including combination of progressive roles of field sales, corporate sales,
marketing, finance and/or customer service)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in eCommerce customer management and/or digital marketing

● Strong computer skills in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc) and/or MS Excel, Word, etc.
● Excellent business presentation ability and a skilled communicator
● Strong influence and negotiations skills for win-win solutions with persistence, compromise, and
● Adept at finding common ground, identifying vital interests, and understanding the customer's
● Strong analytical skills to develop 6P recommendations that result in optimized consumption based
on consumption data, shopper and consumer insights
● Manages ambiguity and strategize solutions for the customer's business and 6P plan performance
and quickly develop alternative plans as needed
● Works effectively across functions, channels, and categories to align priorities, solve problems,
optimize resources, and drive effective execution
