The Experience

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for effectively coordinating with key members of the Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities designed to improve Asset Utilization (AU), reduce Unplanned Downtime (UPDT), reduce Absolute Material Losses (AML). The CI Manager will also work closely with EHS, Quality, Finance and Planning to assess and understand potential project initiatives to improve shop floor quality/reduce non-conformances (NC's), EHS improvement opportunities, material loss initiatives, and schedule enhancements to optimize production efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities


  • Functions as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team which provides resources to achieve plant strategy and ensures decision making processes are consistent with guiding principles.

  • Drive Factory Performance and Reliability implementation for the facility

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Leadership Team to identify, design, and implement continuous improvement projects

  • Own and coordinate the rollout and implementation of the CI & Productivity standard expectations across all Operational Areas.

  • Ensure standardization of approach for conducting CI projects not limited to but including, downtime, throughput, batch cycle time, CO time and scrap reduction

  • Partnership with Science and Technology (S&T) on projects which will increase throughput through batch cycle time reductions

  • Partnership with Operations Team to ensure new hire training is effective

  • Lead the efforts of digital transformation including but not limited to automate processes and reporting

  • Lead and participate in multi-functional project teams

  • Be Champion for the New Ways of Working

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science or related technical field

  • 6+ years of functional experience of dynamic supply chain management experience in production/operation

  • 3+ years of project management /engineering from project concept through implementation

  • A working knowledge of production process and control systems

  • Working knowledge of Quality Standards requirements

  • Teamwork orientation and excellent interpersonal and team skills

Preferred qualifications


  • Lean Six Sigma experience or certification

  • Supervisory experience

  • Experience in SAP (Systems Applications and Products)

  • Prior experience with food safety requirements and standards

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field

  • Working knowledge of Tableau
