Finance Operations Manager at Johns Manville

Job Description:

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manager, Finance Operations for our Insulation System group. This position will be located at our World Headquarters in Denver, CO and is responsible for providing strong financial leadership to the operations function, which includes manufacturing, the sales inventory and operations planning process and the sourcing function.


Key financial analytics will be focused on optimizing overall operational performance, with particular emphasis on driving manufacturing and sourcing productivity, analyzing restructuring, and manufacturing sourcing decisions, and supporting Lean (stable) operations initiatives. This position will also provide strong focus around helping to manage inventory levels. Leads and develops the North American Plant Finance Analysts, drives consistent financial processes and controllership across all plant operations and ensures adequate internal controls are established to safeguard assets. Leads monthly, yearly, and long-term financial planning and reporting for manufacturing.


Your Day-to-Day:



  • Financial support to the Leader(s) of Operations

  • Lead and develop the plant finance analysts in North America

  • Strong financial analysis support to the Demand Planning, Inventory and Operating Planning Process

  • Drive consistent reporting and tracking of productivity

  • Provide financial support and analysis to key productivity initiatives/projects

  • Drive consistent financial processes across all Plant Sites including Performance Management (Scorecard/Reporting), cost accounting, cost allocations, budgeting, and inventory/product costing

  • Drive consistent financial models and decision support models across all operations, including restructuring analysis, Capital Budgeting Financial Analysis, etc.

  • Maintain adequate internal controls around North American Sites

  • Lead monthly, yearly, and long-term financial planning and reporting for operations

  • Manage staff of salaried employees across North America


What You Bring to the Team:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8 or more years overall finance experience

  • 2 or more years of plant financial and/or operational experience

  • 3 years in a financial leadership position

  • Demonstrated capabilities of building and leading processes

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Plant cost accounting and analysis experience

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Applicants can expect to make between $123,000 to $169,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.
