Job Summary

The Contracting Services Department is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to work within the R&D / Major Procurements Team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of DoD subcontract management experience to include demonstrated experience in FAR/DFARS and mandatory flow down clauses, procurement integrity requirements, contract formation and subcontract administration, cost and price analysis, negotiation, acquisition planning, supplier relationship management and project management. Demonstrated experience soliciting and analyzing proposals, including SOW development; negotiating terms and conditions of purchase, payment and price; understanding of Patent and Data Rights Clauses. Work with internal customers and vendors to resolve problems. The candidate should exhibit leadership and teamwork and demonstrate the ability to build positive and professional relationships to successfully accomplish work assignments.

Requirements

• 5 years of Government funded Subcontracts experience; experience working in a DoD and/or technology development environment preferred


• Bachelor degree with equivalent combination of education and experience

• Professional certification in Purchasing or Government Contracting is preferred

• Experience in evaluating, negotiating, pricing and administrating firm fixed price, cost reimbursable, and time & materials subcontracts


• Demonstrated experience with an automated purchasing system


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP/SRM, Excel, Word and PowerPoint


• Strong organizational skills, with particular attention to detail


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
