Responsible for learning special skills and competencies in the ambulatory and institutional pharmacy practice while participating in a twelve-month program of structured post-graduate education and service experiences in order to gain first hand knowledge of pharmacy practices.

1.Education/Experience:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or PharmD degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

2.Certification/Registration/Licensure:

Must be a registered pharmacist in the State of Texas or become registered within the initial three-month appraisal period.

3.Skills or Special Abilities:

Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of all drugs, procedures, and equipment used in the operations of the pharmacy. Must have good organization skills. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills. Must be able to demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in meeting age-related and handicapped patient's needs. Prefer ability to speak a second language, which may be compensable.
