Responsible for all credit and collection activity for strategic dealers (credit limits greater than $200k) in assigned customer portfolio.
Major Responsibilities
Monitor aging of assigned portfolio. Identify high risk / delinquent accounts and ensure appropriate collection action was taken. Action includes but is not limited to placing orders on hold and contacting customer for payment via email, fax, and/or phone. Document customer contact and collection actions taken in accounts receiveable system and physical file as needed
Make recommendations on accounts receiveable reserve for accounts within assigned portfolio. Provide input when placing accounts with a collection agency or third party attorney.
Faciliate monthly team calls with sales. Prepare and distribute data on high risk accounts for monthly calls. Notify sales of delinquent accounts and any actions being taken.
Develop customer relationships and understand how customer fits into Company strategy. Possess knowledge of credit security instruments and have ability to approach customers for security and financial statements as needed.
Respond to inbound customer, customer care, and sales escalation calls related to inquiries including but not limited to accounts receiveable balance, past due issues, and credit limits.
Review and analyze credit service bureau reporting regularly and recommend changes to credit limit or collection activites as needed.
Build relationships with dealers in portolio. Understand their business strategy and review and make recommendations to customer's LPR and any set-aside as needed. Review and understand customer financial statements. This will include reviewing and analyzing customer's balance sheets and income statements to determine appropriate risk and credit lines.

Skills/Knowledge Required
Excellent working knowledge of credit security instruments
Ability to approach customers for security and financial statements as needed
Ability to assess financial risk and discuss with Credit Management, Sales Management and the customer.
Strong working knowledge of credit/collections methods and tools
Strong financial analysis skills
Proficient in excel
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Knowledge of SAP system preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business preferred.
Minimum seven years experience required in credit and collection, finance, or treasury; ten years preferred.
Credit Management Certification preferred.
