The position is for Principle Member of Technical Staff (PMTS). The role is to define and contribute to the creation of strategic architecture and planning activities to evolve AT&T’s wireless and access technologies as well as Network as a Service. Rationalizes technical solutions across all active contributors and ensures alignment over the planning timelines. Provides technical contributions and documentation for the evolving architectural capabilities of the entire solution. Works closely with the engineering teams, operations, and business partners to ensure that individual program and product strategies align with business and technical objectives: Facilitates, documents, and contributes to important design decisions for incorporation into roadmaps and Plan of Records (PoR).
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Specifies the components and their interactions that comprise the End to End Integrated Architecture including:
Work with customers, stakeholders, and development teams to define high-level solution and use cases
Determine the primary components and subsystems and analyze technical trade-offs; Identify interfaces and collaborations between them, define higher-level functional and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)
Defines a shared technical and architectural vision-focused on creating technical alignment for the full Solution rather than deep concerns for specific components
Work with portfolio stakeholders, customers, Enterprise Architects, System Engineers and development teams to align the architectural direction;
Establish incremental implementation strategy and technical foundation for the architectural plan
Abstraction and generalization to preserve architectural flexibility; Ensure that common technology, design practices, and infrastructure are used when applicable
Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns to reduce costs, timelines and impact on existing environments; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices
Knowledge of and experience with software best practices.
Qualifications
Principle level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on AT&T technologies.

Typically requires 5-8 years’ experience.
Education
Preferred Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or equivalent experienceExpert Level Proficiency in the following: • Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and 5G Next Generation Core (NGxC)
• E2E Services / EPC & Next Gen Core Services (e.g. Slicing, VoNR, ..) experience
