Executive Director, Mississippi Department of Transportation

The Mississippi Transportation Commission is accepting applications for the position of Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Executive Director. 

As one of the largest governmental agencies in Mississippi, MDOT’s mission is to provide a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost-efficient and environmentally sensitive manner.

The MDOT Executive Director will administer the policies promulgated by the Transportation Commission; supervise and direct all administrative and technical activities of the department; organize the offices and bureaus of the department; have full and general supervision over all matters relating to the construction and maintenance of the state transportation infrastructure, and prepare and deliver the annual budget of the department.
