Job Description

Dayshift role, Monday through Friday am-5pm with some OT on weekends. Direct hire role with benefits package including medical, 401K matching and PTO program.

Process Operator: Operates equipment used to manufacture products. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Keeps accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Performs in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels.

Job Summary:

Candidates for this position must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions in order to fabricate, inspect, and package chemical-based products. Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records. The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manual assembly and packaging of products

  • Organize materials and work areas

  • Suggest items for "Continuous Improvement" initiative

Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or GED with 3 or more years of experience in an assembly or production environment.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and have excellent communication skills.

  • Good manual dexterity.

  • Must be able to maintain a clean and safe working environment.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree

  • Assembly experience desired

  • Background in chemistry/biology

  • Prior Lab Experience - Experience with lab equipment and tools for handling and mixing chemicals

  • Knowledge of LEAN thinking and assembly practices

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Interest and ability to learn quickly new work operations



Working Conditions:

  • Doesn't mind oftentimes repetitive tasks

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to table height

  • Ability to perform both standing or sitting work
