The Project Executiveis expected develop and maintain a client base, manage HVAC/plumbing sales, and manage the field labor for each project. The Project Executivewill use judgement and discretion in representing the company. He/she is expected to show a high level of commitment and involvement with his/her work and the company's business.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?
Develop engineering concept for ACCO's project pursuits including collaborating with end users, owners, clients and internal project group and engineering personnel.
Manage project personnel activities to ensure design project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Develop and manage the schematic design with the engineering department who will complete the design through the construction document phase.
Manage and provide input to the engineering department for assurance final construction documents comply with the original design intent.
Create conceptual designs certified to LEED standards.
Design and manage to ACCO standard requirements for Project Management to ensure ACCO's documents comply with ACCO standards and support the overall construction schedule.
Provide design calculations, lead design and meetings, provide value engineering concepts with detailed analysis, alternate solutions, pricing of alternates, diagrams, code review for the sales, engineering and construction efforts. Utilizes ACCO standard Engineering technologies at all times.
Establish and lead associated engineering procedures and other work control documentation.
Conduct economic and energy analyses.
Conduct CFD modeling of HVAC systems utilizing the latest modeling software.
Prepare special reports, studies, and analyses as needed.
Compose and/or edit letters, memos, e-mail correspondence, reports, and procedures as required.
Other duties as directed by leadership.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?
BS in Engineering; Mechanical concentration strongly preferred
15 years of minimum experience
Proficiency and proven success in interpersonal communication skills and customer service interactions.
Proficiency and demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.
Existing relationships in the marketplace with a client base of local San Diego customers.
Excellent oral and written business communication skills, including the ability to listen and follow directions.
Ability to commit to regular, on-time attendance both in the designated office location and/or at an assigned project job site.
Professional Engineering license not required, but preferred
