Job Title:  Training Application and Systems Specialist, Americas
Job Location: anywhere in the Americas region

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Application and Systems Specialist to manage GPAM Systems Training, and Systems Change Management activities for the Americas countries, manage and support deployment of global and regional applications, provide first level support for global applications, define support processes and establish common standards across the region, track support requests and timeliness of issue resolution, report to the business on service KPIs, coordinate systems change management activities for global and regional applications to include defining business requirements, validating benefits, prioritizing change requests, managing user acceptance testing, and supporting release to production, works with business owners on process standardization and optimization,  leads business process transition activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Support and Training 

§  Provide first level support to Super Users for global and select regional applications

§  Train country Super Users on global systems and related business processes

§  Establish common support processes and maintain standards across the region

§  Identify improvement potential, work with Product and IT to implement change

§  Escalate issues to Regional and Country Management, IT or Global teams as required

§  Track support requests and timeliness of issue resolution

§  Report to the business on service KPIs

Systems Change Management

§  Coordinate systems change management activities for global and regional applications to include

§  Manages prioritization of change requests for global systems in conjunction with business owners, other regions, and BUIT

§  Provides input to business benefits, business requirements and solution design

§  Manages feedback from teams involved indirectly to communicate back to Global inputs received for the application (system) they are managing

§  Manages user acceptance testing (UAT) for global and regional applications

§  Manages business aspects of system releases (e.g. defining process change, training)

§  Informs business community about system outages and changes

 

Process Management

§  Works with business owners to support standardization and process optimization in the region

§  Manages and supports business process transition activities

Deployment of Global Applications

§  Represents the region on global projects

§  Has overview of global application deployments in the region

§  Provides project management or project coordination for select work streams

§  Manages first level support and enhancement requests for global applications deployed in the region

§  Escalates issues to Regional and Country Management, IT and Global teams as required

§  Provides onsite deployment support and reports on progress

Skills / Requirements:

• Experience end user training


• Knowledge in Freight Forwarding Business


• Knowledge on DGF GPAM applications


• Experience with large scale training programs


• Effective communication skills / interpersonal understanding


• Ability to influence and negotiate internally


• Customer and business orientated, logistics market understanding and insight


• Achievement drive and initiative


• Lateral thinker able to work outside constraints of as-is model


• Always looking at the bigger picture and have strong analytical and decision-making skills


• Pragmatic and have a result-oriented mind. Works in a structured and accurate way


• Tolerant of ambiguity with ability to remain impartial in regard to own re-scope of processes.


• Fluent in English (verbal and written)


• Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written)
