We are seeking a Manager, Healthline and Clinic Support:


  • Work with a diverse group of stakeholders to identify needs and design programing to meet centralized needs across UW Health Ambulatory settings.

  • Accountable for effective development, implementation, ongoing monitoring and evaluation of centralized work.

  • Responsible for current Healthline (after hours nurse triage call center) operations and may expand to include other central programing.

Education:

Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Preferred – MSN, DNP or PhD in nursing

Work Experience:

Minimum –


  • 3 – 5 years clinical experience with phone triage

  • 3 – 5 years progressive relevant leadership experience with demonstrated success

Preferred –


  • Call center leadership experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or equivalency.

Preferred – Certification in area of specialty or eligible for certification.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of nursing practice related to telephone triage and call center operations.

  • Proficient with organizational and professional interrelationships, conflict resolution, and change concepts.

  • Ability to think systemically and understand the implications of policies and practices

  • Ability to use and implement process improvement tools and techniques.

  • Effective oral and written communication and human relation skills required –communicate and work with diverse constituencies, develop rapport with people at all levels of the organization, clearly communicate goals, objectives and progress

  • Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues

  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload to complete projects with minimal direction

  • Must be energetic, forward-thinking with a positive and professional image

  • Proficient Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Valid State of Wisconsin driver's license required.  Must be willing to travel for meetings

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to provide management and supervision to off shift employees.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with regular business hours. Some after-hours required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
