Under the general direction of the Executive Vice President and General Manager, (with dotted line reporting to parent company Finance Department), performs duties directly related to the day-to-day financial activities of the Company. Directs the Company’s financial planning and accounting practices. Advises financial personnel within the Company in their day-to-day responsibilities. Assists in long- and short-term planning regarding financial aspects of the Company.
Industrial Fumigant Company (IFC), a division of the Rollins Corporation, is a leading provider of Pest Management and Consultation Services to the Food and Commodity Industries.
The Opportunity:
The successful Controller will possess the following abilities and will be responsible for:
Oversees and directs all accounting functions
Monthly and yearly GL close process
Supervises Payroll Processing and related Accounting functions
Preparation, analysis, upload and distribution of yearly budgets
Preparation of Quarterly Reforecast and Quarterly Board Reports
Financial information for parent company quarterly and annual financial review
Preparation, coordination and submission of Mid Month forecast and monthly Reforecast
Preparation of Monthly Commentary Analysis and Close memo for GM, ADP and parent company
Supervises Accounting Staff, including GL Accountants, Accounts Payable Specialist, Inventory Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist and Billing Manager
New Account and Cancellation reporting
Oversees collections and prepares associated reporting
Oversees indirectly the IT developers
Review and approval of 55-60 Balance Sheet Reconciliations in Trintech, Fixed Assets, Month End Reports, GL Interface
Review and approval of all journal entries
Directs preparation and review of Sales and Use tax filing – 52 monthly and 66 quarterly
Oversees Federal, State & Local tax and license filings
Set up and maintenance of JDE General Ledger system and Macola ERP system tables
Review, analysis and verification of asset, leasing and capital expenditures
Preparation of monthly material costing reporting
Oversees costing (standard cost) and inventory areas
Oversees annual Bonus Plan calculation and reserve balances
Oversees vacation accrual reserve balances
Directs year end audit, sales & use tax audit, wage and hour audit and quarterly/year end audit schedule preparation
Oversees preparation of book vs tax reconciliations for parent company tax department
Journal entry prep, upload and review
Back up for staff absences to meet deadlines
On demand reporting
Potential acquisition analysis
Systems/Software used: JDE ERP, Macola manufacturing ERP, Concur, Ariba, Trintech, Excel, Access, Word, Power Point
Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge and experience related to financial practices
General knowledge of management information systems
Knowledge of tax code in relation to requirements in a business environment
Basic inventory systems
Annual budget preparation and long-term financial planning
