Location: Ithaca, New York
Full-time, 40 hours/week, 11:00 am – 7:30 pm, Sunday – Thursday. Two years’ experience managing a kitchen, health care experience preferred but not limited to. Must be able to use word, excel, online ordering systems. Familiar with basic computer systems. Must have the ability to communicate effectively as a leader. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintains a professional appearance and manner at all times. Excellent attendance record. Works together with the Executive Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with standards. Coordinate the purchase of all food and develop menus, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs. Communicates well with guests. Must be willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job responsibilities and be a team player. Ability to work with all products and food ingredients involved. Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required for job functions. Ability to apply supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct, coach, train, and discipline, as necessary. Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. on a continuous schedule. Ensures compliancy with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Kendal at Ithaca policies and procedures. Submit resume and application form.
