017684 3rd Shift Maintenance Worker (Open)

Job Description:

• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.


• Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping and continuous improvement processes (Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).


• Under general supervision, performs routine and non-routine maintenance and repair work according to established procedures.   


• Ensures reliability of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing corrective and preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, pneumatic equipment, compressed air systems, steam systems, electrical systems, conveyor systems, and production machines.


• Skilled at following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications in order to troubleshoot malfunctions.


• Performs technical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, compressed air, and steam system troubleshooting and repair of production machines.


• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, work orders and work instructions in order to perform required maintenance and service.


• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by using visual inspection, rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.


• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices by using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, etc.


• Contributes to team effort by achieving performance metrics.

  Work Experience: 

  
  

  •    Must have at least 2 years experience in maintenance and manufacturing environment.
  •    Paper industry background desired.
  •    Welding, machining and fabrication experience is preferred.
  •    Sound electrical background is preferred.

  
  

  Education: 

  
  

  •    High school diploma
  •    Technical training or equivalent experience
  •    Degree or certificate in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics a plus (but not required)
