Scope:

TTM offers internships to qualified science/environmental engineering/environmental health science students who are looking to gain experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) in high tech manufacturing. Internships are designed to help build your professional credentials by providing meaningful, practical, on-the job training and experiences, while also igniting your imagination.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Duties will include involvement in all aspects of EHS compliance program implementation.


• Promote pro-active, safe, and environmentally conscious work practices for the protection of co-workers and the environment


• Assist the organization in improving its environmental performance, using the continuous improvement approach under ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)


• Conduct internal compliance audits and management systems audits


• Complete a project that aligns with the EHS objectives of the organization, e.g.:
  
  
  
  • Improves worker Ergonomics via an engineered solution - i.e., robotics or automation
  
  
  • Eliminates or reduces the toxicity of a process chemical, e.g., solvent cleaning
  
  
  • Conserves electricity usage or otherwise reduces the organizations Carbon footprint
  
  
  
  

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal


• Procedure writing and comprehension


• Organizational, structured problem-solving, and data analysis with statistics


• Computer skills to include Excel, Word, and web-based workflow software


• Good interpersonal skills, including working on teams


• Ability to multitask
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Health Science, with interest in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing and assembly.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
