This is for a Research Technician I position in the Center for Outcomes Research. This is NOT a lab position but requires some basic research duties under close supervision of the principal investigator and other Center leadership. Responsibilities include data entry, data cleaning, data analysis, and data interpretation, drafting and maintaining documents to ensure human subjects protection in research (experience preferred). Scientific writing is expected which includes the ability to learn to search medical databases and summarize requisite literature with proper and accurate citations. Assist in the development of research manuscripts including directed writing and guided analysis. Will help prepare materials for grant submissions. Will maintain and organize files in accordance with organizational and center policies. Verbal and written communication with Houston Methodist physicians and patients will be required on occasion - solid communication abilities are necessary for this position both.
