ABOUT THE JOB

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are looking for a Milk Specialist/Scheduler for our fresh yogurt manufacturing plant in West Jordan, Utah. In this role you will manage the customer service level (CSL) by working closely with supply planning, demand planning, milk planning and procurement.

Additionally, you will:


  • Ensure Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Service goals are met.

  • Identify, communicate, and problem solve supply gaps ensuring maximum customer service.

  • Perform daily reconciliation of milk flow from receipt to batching. Review losses and investigate differences. Report skimming runs, cream sales, and losses for ingredient storage in SAP..

  • Reconcile cream sales. This includes managing the settlements of volume and BF test between Danone and buyer for each truck, invoicing in SAP, and creating a manual invoice to each buyer.

  • Work with multiple milk suppliers to balance weights for invoicing, report monthly receipts and utilization to the Milk Market Administrator, monthly Dairy products survey report, milk component variance report (comparing Dannon weight/test to supplier's)

  • Reconcile SAP inventory

  • Attend daily loss meeting and report activity.

  • Develop production plan to optimize days of supply and line run time. Provide backup to other schedulers.

  • Interact with the Supply Planning, Industrial Planning and Milk Team to ensure production schedule meets business needs.

  • Manage data and communications with support teams to ensure proper staffing and materials to meet schedule needs.

  • Recommend and implement strategies to improve supply planning processes as well as manage risks and opportunities for assigned projects.

  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a fluid environment.

  • Update and report out plant KPI'sas assigned, losses, schedule variance, downtime.

About you

ABOUT YOU:

  • You will have a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics or Business, preferred.

  • You have 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing and have general inventory knowledge, including BOM, cycle counts.

  • You have strong computer skills needed including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and multiple scheduling software programs (i.e. WMS and SAP). You will also have knowledge of ERP/MRP programs (such as SAP or similar).

  • You have strong statistical and analytical knowledge and have an understanding of the impact of supply chain on the supplier and the company P&L.

  • You have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills and are able to work independently toward department objectives with minimal supervision.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
