Maintenance Technician III - 1st Shift

Job Description Summary:

The Maintenance Tech III is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals and objectives. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Tech III will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures
• Support the installation of new equipment


• Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime


• Ensure all repairs are documented in the CMMS


• Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values


• Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses


• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out/tag out program and hearing and eye protection policies


• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 
  Work Experience: 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience


• 
  Education: Associate's Degree Electrical-Mechanical or Industrial Mechanics


• 
  Computer Skills: PLC's, CMMS, Microsoft Office


• 
  Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space


• 
  Cross-functional skills: Ability to complete multiple job assignments including machine operation, fabrication, welding, PLC programming.


• 
  Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting


• 
  Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to lift 100 pounds, walk, stand, bend and twist, climb ladders, work from elevated positions, operate fork, scissor and boom lifts, ability to see up close, in color and adjust focus, read schematics and blueprints.

  Physical Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment, ability to tolerate a variable climate

Preferred Requirements:

  Education: Associate Degree Industrial Mechanical Technician
