The Junior Developer will be a member of our Hospitality Engineering team and responsible for QA, backend development and integrations of our systems. The ideal candidate for this position has experience coding as well as functional, unit, load testing automation for software, web and mobile applications.
What you'll be doing:
Develop, Test and Maintain existing and new systems
Collaborate with other Developers, Architects, Quality Assurance, System Engineers, Project Managers in solving new and existing technical challenges
Work independently to write complex code
Independently design solutions and database structures
Review and Maintain our current automated testing scripts/processes
Develop, Document and Maintain testing strategies and testing scenarios
Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates
Managing a defect log, issue resolution and validation of the fix
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Minimum (2) years of experience with Restaurant Hospitality industry experience
Minimum (2) years of experience analyzing system and application failures and bugs
Minimum (1) years of software engineering experience
Knowledgeable in the C#, Kotlin, Java programming languages
Knowledge of the latest .NET Framework, .Net Core, Mono
Experience with .NET Unit Testing
Experience writing SQL queries
Experience with testing web applications
Ability to write, debug and maintain test scads/scripts
Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent team player
How to be an all star:
Familiarity with programming language such as C++, Obj-C, PHP, JavaScript, Android, iOS, Python, Ruby, Go, Node, Perl, Shell/Bash/Scripting
Experience with source control such as Git, SVN
Experience with all Operating systems, Windows, Linux/Ubuntu, iOS, Android, etc
Experience working with and within VM’s: VMWare, Hyper-V, VirtualBox
Working knowledge of container systems such as Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with Web Standards philosophies and modern XHTML/HTML/HTML5/CSS markup
