Johns Manville is seeking an Operations Finance Supervisor to provide financial leadership in a product platform for the Roofing Systems Division. The Operations Finance Supervisor will partner with the Operations Finance Manager and Business Operations Leaders and will manage a team of two direct reports. Our ideal candidate will provide direct cost accounting support to multiple manufacturing facilities, develop and implement consistent streamlined financial processes and procedures across the platform, and present comprehensive financial analyses. This includes benchmarking plants, analyzing strategic capital asset projects, and deep-diving operational performance and platform cost initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide inclusive financial support for plant management as a business partner


• Guide and lead a team of two employees


• Prepare financial and strategic analysis to enable sustainable business decisions


• Provide financial leadership for a product platform


• Manage project capital and expense tracking


• Initiate and manage month-end and year-end close activities


• Prepare monthly forecasts, month-end reports and project updates


• Prepare annual operating plans


• Assist in the development of plant and platform BOMs, routings, and standards in partnership with plant and platform operations leaders


• Drive the development of plant financial operating plans


• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues and assist with integrated plant set up in SAP


• Create and improve financial processes and procedures for capital projects in connection with plant operations


• Identify and drive cost reduction and working capital opportunities

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting


• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (preferred)


• 7+ years of finance/accounting experience, with 2+ years of cost accounting and/or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment


• Sound people management experience


• Ability to perform financial and strategic analysis to enable business and investment decisions


• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end close activities


• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and SAP or ERP systems


• Ability to travel up to 20%
