Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects
  • Oversees all aspects of projects, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects

  • Analyzes new and complex project-related problems and creates innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components and financial management of the project

  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project

  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project

  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department

  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects

  • Oversees all aspects of projects, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects

  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project

  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project

  • Leads and directs the work of others

  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department

  • Acts as PMI-certified Scheduling Professional to support software development projects

  • Provides the necessary services for Project Management to provide the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of application development project goals and objectives based on Project Management Institute (PMI) standards

  • Supervises and coordinates all Contractor activities and ensures that the task is performed to the best possible efficiency

  • Works with the Government and customer counterparts to elaborate on system requirements and resolve issues

  • Ensures appropriate levels of communications are established and maintained throughout the project cycle

  • Responsible for all aspects of project performance (i.e. technical, contractual, administrative, financial)

  • Consults with the customer in ensuring conformity to all contractual obligations

  • Establishes and maintains technical and financial status reports to show progress to Division management

  • Organizes and assigns responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks

  • Assumes the initiative and provides support to marketing personnel in identifying new business requirements

  • Ensures the development, maintenance, and implementation of a Program Management Plan, a document which guides the performance of all functional activities performed on the Project

  • Manages and supervises personnel involved in all aspects of project activity

  • Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for a moderately complex technical program

  • Incumbent is not responsible for Profit & Loss (P&L) or business development, but is accountable to oversee results of multi-functional project teams

  • Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer

  • Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained

  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received

  • May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10 - 15 Years of experience

  • Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification strongly desired

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:


  • Sitting for long periods

  • Standing for long periods

  • Ambulate throughout an office

  • Ambulate between several buildings

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required

  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 25 pounds

  • Travel by land or air transportation 5%
