Our expanding IT team is looking for a full-time Enterprise Business Applications Team Lead that will lead the HR Applications Team to provide exceptional customer service, proactively manage the customer experience through consistent communication and responsiveness to business critical incidents. Provide proactive maintenance and performance improvements. Provide trend analysis and root cause identification and implementation of Irreversible Corrective Action.
In this role, you will provide day to day guidance and leadership for a team of application resources responsible to implement stable, scalable and secure applications.
You'll also be responsible for analyzing business requirements and design of Oracle ERP and related systems to meet business requirements. Other key responsibilities include:
Apply formal Systems Development Life Cycle process to assure the functionality, security, quality and regulatory compliance of deployed systems
Partner with internal Garmin organizations to integrate and extend applications to support the ever growing and expanding business needs
Work with IT staff to ensure Applications comply with existing infrastructure requirements and integrate with security systems, network infrastructure, and other business systems
Monitor and expand ERP and related software systems as needed to assure adequate security, performance and capacity
Project Management of system implementations or integration projects as needed
Design and facilitate the Garmin Training Center steering committee/business review process
Production Incident Management
Collaborate with HRIS team resources to support and partner on their application project roadmap and business initiatives approved through the business systems review process
Analyze business requirements and design of HR, Payroll and Learning Management and related systems to meet business requirements
Understand new functionality and applications as they transition from project delivery to production
Research functionality and making recommendations on how to make processes more efficient
Provide training and guidance to customers as needed
Development of Knowledge Base
Continuous improvements in all areas (monitoring, processes, etc.)
Participate in departmental resource planning
Mentor and provide guidance to l team members
Provide leadership in cooperation with the manager and other functional teams
Build healthy team relationships and perform team building activities
Perform job functions independently with minimal direction from manager
Gain understanding and apply detailed knowledge of Garmin processes and procedures
Recruit, develop and retain a high performing team including conducting annual performance evaluations
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent degree from a four year college or university and a minimum of 5 years of continuous experience in delivering ERP Applications within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
Provides a proven track record in successful project management
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Excellent time management and follow-up skills
Desirable qualifications would include post graduate degree in Business or IT, experience managing a high performance work team with responsibility for recruiting, disciplinary actions, terminations, and delivery of performance appraisals.
Experience with automated testing tools and testing procedures.
Experience with advanced reporting tools such as OBIEE,
Cognos and/or other data warehousing tools.
Experience with EDI activities such as mapping using ANSI X12 and EDIFACT EDI standards and coordinating with trading partners.
Experience with database and application administration of Oracle e-Business Suite and other Enterprise Business Applications.
