Job Description

EisnerAmper's Cloud Accounting group has experienced significant growth and is seeking a real estate accounting professional with expertise using Yardi. This individual will report to the Managing Director of Cloud Accounting and will be responsible for servicing real estate clients, managing multi entity portfolios of properties, both commercial and/or residential. You will be responsible for working with a team of accountants who perform all back office accounting functions for clients. The ideal candidate must be a meticulous and seasoned leader/manager who can manage all aspects of a client engagement, train team members, take ownership, develop relationships with both clients and team, and manage work quality and profitability.

The Cloud Accounting team, which is part of the firm's Outsourced Finance & Accounting practice, provides outsourced accounting services utilizing cloud-based accounting solutions for small to midsized companies, startups, and family offices with commercial real estate holdings. Cloud accounting utilizes state-of-the-art cloud-based accounting applications that are integrated seamlessly with your bank accounts and other cloud-based systems. The practice is at the point where it wants to expand its capabilities with Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Perform all back office accounting functions for clients including reconciliations, bill and expense payment, payroll, and the creation of management reports and financial statements.


• Provide insight and guidance to clients on how Yardi can be utilized properly to manage the business.


• Provide insight and guidance to clients on reporting and analytics


• Participate in sales calls with clients and prospects. Provide input on solution and pricing.


• Provide training or recommendations on training to clients and other team members.

Basic qualifications for the opportunity

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field


• 6 + years' experience in real estate managing multiple properties entities


• Proficiency with Yardi


• Strong property accounting skills


• Client engagement experience including supporting sales activity, managing engagements, and finding and closing upsell opportunities.


• Management experience, leading and developing employees as well as managing staff realization and utilization.


• Experience providing high quality customer support.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field


• CPA or parts passed towards completion
