Engagement Length in Months: 24 Months What are the daily work hours? 09:00am -05:00pm Where is the physical work office located? 2 Metrotech Ctr, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position: * Manage all vendor and NYCDOE workstream efforts * Report status to the project sponsor and other executives. Monitor and report overall project progress against baseline project plan * Understand the key components of the project plan and execute on coordinating the documentation, issues and requirements on an as needed basis * Track progress of overall project plan, identify risks to implementation throughout the project, and work proactively to surface and resolve those risks, on an as needed basis * Perform Risk Management - identify potential risks and issues across all workstreams * Work with project management staff members to raise and resolve issues, set project deadlines, and mitigate project risks * Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and execute tasks on an as needed basis * Serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams * Act as the liaison to the vendor's support staff and developers * Manage the administrative requirements of the program including meetings, calendars etc. * Coordinate & manage the inputs (documentation preparation and distribution) for key meetings, as required * Support the recruitment, selection, and on boarding of new team members * Identify gaps in infrastructure and raise issues/risks on a timely basis * Assist in planning of current/future infrastructure needs for the project * Provide operational support to key functional areas as needed * Be the key point person to organize and electronically file key project documentation (SESIS uses an electronic document management tool) * Prioritize system defect fixes and enhancements * Assist business analysts to clarify requirements' ambiguities; Raise and monitor requirements' ambiguities * Elicit subject matter expert expectations on the behavior of the system * Perform complex analysis of data emanating from the SESIS application * Document and implement test strategies, plans, processes, and standards * Verify the system's conformance to defined user stories, functional requirements * Define the scope and schedule of User Acceptance test phases. Identify and confirm participants. Reserve resources for conducting sessions * Perform non-functional testing resulting in usability data * Investigate test outcome and raise requirements' ambiguities and defects using established processes * Establish and maintain traceability between data points emanating from the field, test cases and requirements/design documents * Review the requirements and designs and ensure their correctness, accuracy, clarity and completeness by actively engaging Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, and Developers * Create and maintain configuration notes for the testing environments * Participate in data normalization processes to team members * Participate in technical consultation to team members grounded in the understanding of MS SQL/Server capabilities, shortcoming, and applicability * Lead data mapping efforts between SESIS and other existing data sources * Utilize Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint for documenting all outcomes, for reporting progress to management, and for collaborating with team members Position Requirements: * 7 years of experience managing highly complex and multi-party IT programs and COTS implementation with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently * 7 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams, mobilizing disparate groups of people toward a common and ambitious goal, managing horizontally * 7 years of experience interacting with High-Level Executives and Senior Management as well as working with stakeholders to define and develop business processes and procedures and system requirements * 7 years of experience resolving conflicts and negotiating a resolution between multiple parties and stakeholders * 7 years of experience with technical writing required, including experience writing Business Requirements Documents and Use Case/User Story development * 7 years of experience documenting, implementing test strategies, plans, and scripts as well as executing unit, system integration and functional testing * 7 years of experience managing multiple concurrent Vendors and contracts * 7 years of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include various technologies, test documentation and procedures * 2 years in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project * A master's degree from an accredited college, in Computer Science or Information Systems or Business Administration OST is an equal opportunity employer.
