A large healthcare system in the San Francisco Bay Area is eagerly recruiting for a System Director of Hospital Case Management to work across their healthcare enterprise. This vital leadership position is available for either a Registered Nurse or Master’s prepared Social Worker. The System Director Hospital Case Management will utilize their diverse industry knowledge as they oversee Case Management across the spectrum of care within a dynamic health system that offers: 

• Multiple Acute Care Hospitals


• A Psychiatric Hospital


• Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facilities


• Numerous Outpatient Clinics

The System Director Hospital Case Management will work with the Vice President of Case Management and the System Director’s responsibilities will be leading the Short-Term Acute Care Hospital Case Management and Post-Acute Care Facilities. This senior level Case Management position supports the VP of Case Management with financial analyses including cost of care to reimbursement, denials management, and non-reimbursed services, promoting effective resource utilization, quality care and patient safety, oversees the Inpatient recovery process, works closely with Revenue Cycle and Physician Advisors, and regularly communicates with payors.

The experienced patient care teams, discharge planners and clinical social workers work collaboratively with one another to ensure quality and appropriate patient care is delivered to the thousands of patients cared for annually. The System Director Hospital Case Management will be a local resource for all inquiries and support needed related to: InterQual criteria methodology, resource management, medical necessity guidelines payer sources, clinical outcome metrics, length of stay initiatives, readmission strategies, reimbursement rules and medical record documentation requirements.
