SAW OPERATOR SUMMARYUnder general supervision, performs cutting operations utilizing automatic feed cold and band saws to print or work order lengths. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pulls required materials from storage utilizing forklift and filling out material issue paperwork.
Perform Rockwell testing of material to assure material meets engineering specifications.
Record all testing and heat treat lot numbers on work order.
Identify remaining material that is usable and return to proper storage.
Follow shop safety standards.
Follow shop clean-up procedures

REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid driver's license and a good driving record.
