Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparation, coordination, and timely filing of US consolidated federal income tax return and estimated tax payments.


2. Assist in preparation and timely filing of state and local income tax returns, estimated tax payments, state modification calculations, multi-state allocation and apportionment calculations, and calculation and documentation of state credits


3. Assist in developing and supporting responses to federal IRS audits requests and notices


4. Assist in developing and supporting responses to various state audit requests and notices


5. Research and analysis of tax issues


6. Federal and State tax depreciation calculations for various subsidiaries


7. Participate in special projects, tax planning and assist with other tax compliance as needed


8. Identify and implement process improvements to facilitate streamlining and automation for tax compliance, reporting and planning


9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by remaining current on existing and new tax regulations and communicate the impact of new tax developments.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required – Accounting or related field


• CPA or working towards CPA designation preferred


• 0-5 years of tax compliance experience


• Excellent computer skills, specifically with managing large data within MS Excel


• Previous public accounting or large corporate industry experience preferred


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines


• Self-starter and team player


• Strategic Thinking / Problem Solving Skills
