Covia is looking for a dynamic Senior Customer Service Representative who will have a positive impact on the Customer Service team at its Woodlands, TX location. As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you will be accountable for coordinating and managing all customer orders, quotes and inquiries via email, customer portals or phone for your assigned region or accounts.



The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:




  • Proactively monitor customer's orders, schedules and shipments and notifying the customer and Supply Chain of any delays or potential shortages

  • Process customer orders received via email, phone, or customer portal

  • Promptly respond to requests for product availability or pricing



  • Manage requests from assigned Corporate account

  • Enter Sales Opportunities in Salesforce



  • Coordinate and prepare customer requests for information (i.e. formal quotes, product availability, data sheets, and analytical information.)

  • Track historical activity by customer and prospects for product requests and turndowns in assigned region

  • Work closely with the region's area sales managers on daily activity and provide support for new product sales to customers

  • Process customer complaints, questions, or concerns; and take appropriate action to ensure customer's needs are met.

  • Participate in Covia or third-party product training, sales training and stay current with market trends and competitor offerings

  • Participate in S&OP meetings to provide updated information on your orders or activity in your assigned region

  • On-Call after hours required throughout the year






The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor Degree preferred but not required with relevant industry experience

  • 6 years or more of account management and sales support experience in a corporate environment

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry a plus

  • Must be an assertive, confident and self-starter with the ability to learn quickly, energetic, personable, and able to manage multiple priorities while working with minimal supervision

  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Ability to work overtime and flexible work hours as required to complete daily work and/or customer requests or assignments

  • Some travel required
