Material Handler - $16.00, 1st Shift

Overview

Job Description Summary:

This position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials. This position will support manufacturing efforts through efficient transportation, storage, pulling and staging various materials. The position will be able to operate company forklifts, overhead crane and vehicles safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Fabrication Material Handler will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Ability to move parts and material to meet delivery schedules
• Ability to use RF gun to place WIP in shelf locations


• Daily inspection and verification that forklift and/or crane are in good working order


• Participate in daily cleanup at the end of each shift


• Plug forklift into proper charger at the end of the shift


• Ability to correctly report on daily time card


• Ability to support manufacturing by supplying direct help when needed


• Verify counts, weights, and record number of units moved, handled or shipped out


• Attach tags or labels to material or mark information on cases, bins, pallets or other containers


• Compliance to the LTE QMS or other procedure requirement


• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 
  Work Experience: One year forklift experience


• 
  Education: High School Diploma or equivalent


• 
  Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary


• 
  Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space


• 
  Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments


• 
  Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting


• 
  Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, reach above shoulders, fine repetitive motion, bend, stoop, climb ladder, ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds continuously for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day
