Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Technical Center is looking for an engineering intern interested in vehicle controls and electrical systems on medium and heavy duty battery electric and diesel powered trucks. This position's primary tasks include hardware in the loop (HIL) test bench configuration to support electric powertrain and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) development for PACCAR.

Division Information

.The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The Engineering Intern will learn battery electric truck and ADAS system fundementals. The specific activities include:

• Wiring HIL test benches for battery electric truck and ADAS system development


• Documenting wiring designs in Mentor Graphics


• Support electrical architecture decisions and system documentation for PACCAR's Super Truck II Department of Energy project


• Work with dSpace Configuration Desk to define HIL and rapid controls prototyping (RCP) implementation

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills including Windows and MS Office


• Coding experience desired, MATLAB, C++, Python


• Excellent communication and technical writing skills required

Education

Currently working for an undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering or relevant major
