Quality Technicianneeded for acontract opportunityfor Yoh Scientific's client located in the Marlborough, MAarea. Pay rate: $31.22/hour

Contract length: 1 year



Responsibilities

• Analysis of production and raw material samples for conformance with specifications using standard operating or non-routine procedures.


• Make up and standardize chemical solutions used in laboratory, concentrations or formulations required in special tests.


• Calibration and daily qualification of laboratory equipment.


• Test new methods, equipment or procedures; make recommendations based on observations, analyses, and evaluation of test data.


• Contribute to brainstorming sessions to improve work processes and procedures.


• Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties.


• Exhibit sound EH&S practices. Proper use of PPE, understand process safety concerns in your laboratory area, and report EH&S incidents.


• Fulfill all requirements of group, site, and company safety, ethics, and quality programs.

Qualification Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with minimum 1 year industrial experience in laboratory environment


• Willing and able to work overtime or shift hours to cover absences, sometimes on short notice

* Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments

* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

* Good observational and record keeping skills with attention to detail, including use of computer-based spreadsheets
