Overview:
This position will support the production supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of their assigned shift.
Essential Duties:
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all employees are participating in them
Communicate all near misses that are brought up in the toolbox talks
Check, read, and answer all emails.
Ensure shift handoffs are being conducted and that the schedule controls are reviewed at this time.
Ensure that work requests are being submitted for all maintenance calls.
Ensure that all reports including production sheets, schedule controls, shift variance reports are turned in and up to date as well as the prior shifts.
Ensure that all oil is available for the days run.
Ensure QA sheets (weight, product, SSOP, batch) are filled out correctly and timely as these are legal documents.
Ensure that department housekeeping and sanitation is up to food facility standards.
Ensure All personnel are adhering to safety policies and GMPs.
Ensure OEE is running properly and efficient.
Check overall appearance and quality of the products being packed
Assist operators as needed to keep productions lines running safely and efficiently.
Qualifications/Requirements:
5+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and years of experience) in oil refining, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities
High School graduate or equivalent required
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required
