Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for bright undergraduates currently studying Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, to gain valuable Corporate Treasury experience in one of the world's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in America (Forbes).

The Equinix Treasury Team is looking for an intern to assist us remotely with current projects and daily operations in our Americas region. You will work with a team of three and report to the Treasury Analyst. This internship will teach you basic knowledge about Treasury Operations with an emphasis on corporate finance - cash management, intercompany loans, bank guarantees, etc. We will train you to become a black-belt expert in our Treasury Management System Kyriba, which you will use on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash management functions such as balance reporting, fund transfers, and wire transfer payments


• Support operational payments and collections across AMER region, including verifying account details and currencies with cross-functional teams


• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts with focus on upcoming financing needs and related internal investment


• Understand the key terms and conditions of an intercompany loan portfolio to manage agreements and amendments in Kyriba


• Understand key terms and conditions of bank guarantees and letters of credit to manage records in Kyriba


• Maintain bank accounts, such as preparing KYC documents, opening/closing accounts, modifying account structures, and updating regional account lists in Kyriba

Qualifications

• Rising college Junior or Senior with focuses in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field


• Team player able to work in a high-energy and fast-paced environment


• Maintain a high degree of accountability and attention to detail


• Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills

This is a full-time paid internship that will run for at least 3 months, with the possibility to convert into a permanent role. You must be available to work Monday-Friday during work hours.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085)the salary range for Colorado for this role is$25.00perhour.
