We are hiring a Team Lead for 2nd Shift. The Team Lead is a working area lead that helps to provide technical expertise and general guidance for the functional department within the value stream. As team lead you will spend approximately 80% of the time running production equipment and approximately 20% with team lead duties.

Team Lead Duties include:

1. Run production equipment -80%
   
   
   1. Work Safely, every day
   
   
   2. Meet established productivity requirements
   
   
   3. Meet quality standards for product
   
   
   
   


2. Area Lead Duties - 20%
   
   
   1. Lead Tier 1 Meetings
   
   
   2. Measure performance each day at Tier 1 Boards
   
   
   3. Facilitate a plan with the team for the day's work
   
   
   4. Escalate staffing, training issues to Supervisor
   
   
   5. Issue work requests and/or escalate maintenance issues to Supervisor/ Maintenance
   
   
   6. Help train new employees
   
   
   7. Identify continuous improvement ideas and facilitates with rest of team
   
   
   8. Help resolve quality/ processing issues and/or escalate to quality/ engineering
   
   
   
   

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma


• 5+ years experience in manufacturing


• Demonstrated experience leading others


• Ability to understand process data and create graphs/ charts


• Must have good oral and written communication skills


• Ability to influence and motivate employees


• Ability to prioritize tasks.


• Ability to coordinate/ plan activities for others


• Excellent troubleshooting skills


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


• Ability to speak effectively before peers and supervisors when needed


• 3-5 years experience in the specified department at LeachGarner preferred
