Job Description:

Omnichannel Analytics Product Team is part of the Omnichannel Engineering team under Strategic Platform which aligns to the broader AT&T platform from a data collection standpoint and to build the next generation Data Collection and Data Management solution which servers our business customers with ease of data access, consolidated information in a central place and build to new data models which make reporting easy, scalable, multidimensional to slice and dice, serves operational and business needs with data collection happening in near real time and helps AT&T build to a solution which is vendor agnostic.

About the Job

The Job is responsible for analyzing data in response to new business requests, identifying and resolving data discrepancies across multiple business applications. Works directly with the client user community, business analysts, analytics product team to define data specifications (EDD Document) and document data test cases for data integration and business intelligence applications, execute on the UAT and manage data delivery. The Focus being on data collected on AT&T across multiple systems.

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

1.    Evaluates, documents and creates the Data Specification and data test cases for movement of medium to high complexity data between applications.

2.    Takes feedback from Product managers, APMs from Analytics Product team, Digital Analytics team, additional stake holders to design/modify/execute data test cases.

3.    Adheres to and promotes the use of data governance standards.

4.    Has good understanding on corporate applications, including data warehouse and data marts.

5.    Has good experience on various test tools from a data perspective and also has background on automation testing to implement and execute on automation data testing.

6.    Creates and sustains processes, tools, and on-going support structures and processes.

7.    Investigates and resolves data issues across platforms and applications, including discrepancies of definition, format and function.

8.    Works closely with Product Managers, Digital Analytics partners, Analytics Product Team, DBAs to develop deep understanding on logical models to physical implementation.

9.    Need to understand the functionality of the application/web flows and corelate it to the data being captured along with the functionality.

10.    Responsible for constantly improving Data quality, Defect Management, executing on UAT and Giving perspective on Releases & Hot Fixes and provides insights and inputs to correctly make Go/No-Go discussions.

11.    The role requires strong SQL Skills, Database knowledge, Deep analytics skills, Quality and testing processes, Data testing on browser, automation testing using tools like Selenium and skills to automate Data test cases and hands on experience in Web Analytics & BI tools like Business Objects & Tableau, well versed with defect management tools like TDP, JIRA, AgileCraft, etc.

12.    Should be very detailed oriented and think through all the scenarios that can potentially impact a use case and execute on those scenarios and see how data gets passed/broken or does not align with the functionality been show to the customer.

13.    Passion for data and constantly driving for improving data quality.

14.    Should be a self-starter who thrives on making Development and delivery teams to fix issues and drive quality.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience (3-5 years):

Data validation and quality assurance:

- Ability to perform deep data analysis with tools such as Power Pivot, Adobe Analytics, Business Objects, and Tableau

- Experience with enterprise-scale Web Analytics implementations, including creating reports and diagnosing Analytics Instrumentation problems.

- Ability to find and investigate data issues across platforms and applications, including discrepancies in data definition, format and function.

- Ability to give perspective and insight when assessing Releases & Hot Fixes so the team can correctly make Go/No-Go decisions.

- Ability to perform defect management using tools like TDP, JIRA, iTrack,  AgileCraft, and drive delivery teams to find and fix issues.

- Ability to evaluate and document data test cases with Dev/QA Colleagues and work with stakeholders to improve and execute them.
