Position Summary:

Provides professional level skills necessary to prepare and present analysis of financial projects. Prepares analytical and financial studies and reports. Processes various financial and budgetary transactions including journals, transfers, etc.

Position Key Accountabilities:

1. Develops and prepares various financial reports including payroll reconciliation report, chart of accounts, salary verification, student affairs scholarship commitment report, project balances report, etc.

Review, prepare and distribute monthly review and validation reports and respond to inquiries from other CSON administrators regarding the data and validation process

3. Reviews and approves various financial transactions (vouchers, requisitions, purchase orders, travel requests) on a daily basis from FMS, COUPA, etc.

Process various budget transfers / budget journals / general journals to reallocate budget funds between budget pools, funds and accounts

5.

Serve as FMS / HCM / COUPA Security Coordinator

6. Prepare various new account establishment forms for gifts and other various designated funds - tracks to ensure accounts are properly established in FMS
7. Assists in the preparation of the annual school budget - loading budgetary data / producing reports
8. Review monthly open encumbrance report - work with department administrators to close outstanding purchase orders / trapped encumbrances .
9. Prepare necessary sponsorship authorization forms for tuition and fees waivers for faculty and students
10.

Prepare supporting financial reports for Faculty Incentive Program (FIP)

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel including Pivot Tables / VLOOKUP / HLOOKUP / Filters, Subtotals; Experience with PeopleSoft FMS and HCM

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

Minimum Experience:

Five (5) years of related experience in a financial or accounting area.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
