Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is looking for experienced C++ Software Engineers to be a part of a product team in Irving, TX. You will participate in the development of a new high-performance storage solutions, from implementation to deployment.

Essential Duties:


  • Work under close direction with other Engineer's to implement high performance storage algorithms for the next generation of the company over Fabrics storage solutions

  • This is an opportunity to learn advanced algorithms and performance techniques to match the performance of next generation solid state storage technologies







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in programming or equivalent educational experiences, including specific experience in C/C++/Javascript coding and debugging

  • Kernel, protocol, or hardware programming experience is desirable

  • Linux-based system and OS experience a big plus

  • Abstract understanding of computer hardware, algorithm, and protocol performance

  • The Engineer will have the technical ability to understand requirement documents and system level test plans and collaborate with engineers during the implementation

  • Ability to write concise, documented code with a focus on performance and readability

  • Strong technical background with both the ability and desire to continuously improve the overall storage software product, in terms of quality, features, and design

  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Familiarity with DevOps patterns and methodologies is a plus

  • Experience in an Agile environment or having worked in an Agile managed team is a plus

  • Familiarity of concepts or experience in CI/CD is a plus

  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
